Compare two cities

How the index is made

It uses the homes live on Easycoliv now, with the rent each operator lists for each kind of room. It is not a survey of every rent in a city.
Private room: a room for one person in a shared home.
Bed in a shared room: one bed in a room shared with others (a room priced whole counts per bed).
Whole home: a flat, studio or house rented whole.
A city appears once it has at least 5 live homes, and a figure needs at least 3 rooms of its kind. With fewer, the table says so instead of showing a figure.
Each median is in the city's own currency, so cities in different countries are not converted or compared.
Bills, deposits and fees are not included. Confirm the rent of a home with its operator.
The figures are recalculated every hour as homes go live, change or leave Easycoliv.

The rent index is free to reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Credit Easycoliv and link to this page. The CSV file has one row a city, with rents in the city's currency and the number of rooms behind each figure.
