GET A FEEL FOR THE CITY

Life in Canggu.

Canggu is a former rice-field village on Bali's south-west coast that has become the island's main remote-work base, with villas, guesthouses and coliving houses spread along a grid of narrow lanes between Berawa and Pererenan. Most renters pick a lane close to one of the surf beaches or a coworking space and get around by scooter, as there is no public transport. Fibre and 4G coverage are good in the core, weaker in the newer areas north of the shortcut.
