Life in Luang Prabang.
Luang Prabang is a small UNESCO-listed town in northern Laos, set on a peninsula where the Nam Khan meets the Mekong and known for its temples, French colonial buildings and slow pace. Long-stay renters usually find guesthouse rooms and small apartments in or near the old town, or cheaper local housing around Phosy Market to the south-west. The Laos-China Railway links the town with Vientiane in about two hours, and the airport is on the eastern edge of town.
