GET A FEEL FOR THE CITY
Life in Apia.
Apia is Samoa's capital, a low-rise harbour town on the north coast of Upolu, with government, regional agencies and tourism as the main sources of work. Most rentals are near the waterfront in the town centre and in Vaiala just east of the harbour, with quieter houses up the hill at Vailima. The international airport at Faleolo is about 35 km west along the coast road and there is no rail and local buses are privately run.
